Town of Rockford
ROCKFORD, WA -
From 2015:
"Private citizens answer the call!
Recently, Rockford Mayor Carrie Roecks met with local business owners to share ideas for increasing the Town of Rockford's allure to both residents and tourists. With the upcoming Holiday Season, she issued a call to all residents, both private and businesses, to "Light Up Rockford!" with holiday decorations, including lit Christmas Trees in Rockford Park, and in the front yards of homes throughout the town.
In answer, residents of Rockford donated over $800 worth of decorations, and the effort continues. Tina Bishop was even able to negotiate substantial discounts with Habitat for Humanity for some large value items.
As a result, Santa Claus will have a new settee for his visit to Rockford this Saturday (1:00PM), and many of these decorations can be loaned out to interested residences not only in Rockford, but also surrounding communities.
The effort continues, however, and donations for continued decorations will be accepted at Banner Bank and at Rockford Town Hall!"
LET'S DO IT AGAIN!!!
